The UAE Golden Visa
A golden visa is a type of visa-the long-term residence Dubai visa-that enables foreign talents to live, study or work in the United Arab Emirates while enjoying exclusive benefits. The golden visa eligibility criteria include investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers, and frontline heroes, among others.
The Golden Visa Scheme was officially launched in 2019, and with the introduction of new UAE visa rules, the Golden Visa saw some significant improvements, leading to attracting a new mindset around the world. It is one of the most sought-after residence visas, with a residency period of either five or ten years. This offers visa holders the autonomy to stay in the country without the requirement for a sponsor or host and the flexibility to work outside the UAE for an extended period of time without having to compromise the validity of the visa status with the capability to sponsor family members.
The recruitment of HR executives has shown that the long-term residency visa is a flux for the United Arab Emirates’ overall economy and society, as it is successful in attracting long-term residents, high-net-worth individuals, investors in the public sector and real estate, entrepreneurs, outstanding specialised talents, inventors, doctors, scientists, and creatives in the field of art and culture, though some other rules apply, including investment amount.
Dubai and its new visa rules have seen successful growth while boosting the economy and society of the UAE.
